Monroe High School football coach and former Orangeville head football coach, Toby Golembiewski, passed away
Sunday after a long battle with colon cancer. Golembiewski has been the head football coach at Monroe since 2016
and helped lead the Cheesemakers to the 2022 WIAA Division-3 State championship. Golembiewski coached at Orangeville
for 16 years prior to that. He went 63-and-24 including four straight Rock Valley
Conference championships from 2020 to 2023 with a mark of 26-and-0. His teams made the playoffs six times
over the eight years he coached the Cheesemakers. Golembiewski played his college football at UW-Platteville. He was 56 year old.
