Ithaca Wins Sportsmanship Award In Baseball

The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Company, has selected the team Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2023 Spring State Team Tournaments. In baseball, Ithaca not only won the Division 4 State Championship, they won the Sportsmanship Award in high school baseball. Ithaca demonstrated sportsmanship with its respectful and positive team and spectator support in its drive to win the Division 4 championship at the State Baseball Tournament in June. It’s the second time the Bulldogs have been chosen as the recipient of the award. They also received the honor in baseball in 2018. Ithaca won a thrilling 8-7, come-from-behind victory in the title game against Pecatonica after edging Edgar 4-3 in the semifinals.
