UWPlatteville Track and Field Honors

Two members of the UW-Platteville track and field teams have been named conferece athletes of the week. Junior Cade Van Hout is the men’s track athlete of the week. Van Hout won the 100-meter dash at UW-La Crosse in a school record time. His time of 10.51 seconds ranks number 1 on the NCAA D-3 National List. Van Hout also ran a personal best time of 21.49 seconds in the 200-meter dash that has him ranked number 4 in the WIAC and 10th on the National List. The Pioneers had another athlete recognized by the WIAC. Senior Brianna Leahy is the women’s field athlete of the week. Leahy won the shot put at UW-La Crosse. Her throw of 14.83 meters broke her existing school record and is the best throw in NCAA Division 3 this season by over 2 feet.
