UW-Platteville’s Leahy Honored

A UW-Platteville senior and Shullsburg native has been named a WIAC athlete of the week. The Pioneers’ Brianna Leahy earned the honor after winning the shot put and discus competition at Augustana on April 23rd. Her throw in the shot put of 15.34-meters was the 6th-best throw in NCAA D-3 history. The mark ranks 1st on the NCAA D-3 Performance List by over 2 feet. She also won the discus competition in a personal best toss of 43.2-meters. That throw ranks number 13 on the D-3 Honor Roll this season.
