A former Pioneer quarterback and Highland native is taking over UW-Platteville’s football program. The school’s athletic department has announced that Ryan Munz will lead the team following the retirement of Mike Emendorfer. Munz just completed his 15th season as UWP’s offensive coordinator, and also spent the last 5 years as the team’s associate head coach. So far, he has recruited and coached 8 All-Region players and 3 All-Americans – including Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Dan Arnold. Munz will be formally introduced as the Pioneers’ head coach at a press conference in the student center on Wednesday at 4p.
